Hungry for Hope 2009

Workshop Session Two - Option 3

Reclaiming Our Family Identity; A Psychological and Nutritional Perspective
Juliet Zuercher, RD and Dena Cabrera, PsyD

The family of those suffering from eating disorders is often bewildered and confused by the actions of their loved one. However, in today's patient-centered treatment climate, patients are sometimes given a "parent-ectomy" in hopes of empowering the patient. Using case studies to examine challenging family dynamics and practical interventions, Juliet and Dena will equip you to resuscitate the family system which is so vital to the overall well-being of the client.
