    WICKENBURG, Ariz. (July 7, 2014) — Remuda Ranch at The Meadows, a comprehensive treatment center specializing in eating and co-occurring disorders for women and girls, has appointed James “Buck” Runyan, MS, MFT, LPC, CEDSs, Clinical Director over the inpatient and residential LIFE campus. Runyan has over 20 years of experience working with eating disorders and addictions including nearly seven years at Remuda Ranch holding clinical leadership positions. In addition to counseling and administrative work, he is a sought-after speaker and workshop facilitator on a vast array of eating disorder and family therapy related topics.     Remuda Ranch at The Meadows’s Director of Primary Care and Nutrition, Lesley Williams, MD, was a speaker at the 2013 Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Food and Nutrition Conference on April 11 – 13 in Austin, Texas.The title of Dr. Williams’ session was “Eating Disorders 2013: Diagnosis, Complications and Treatment Updates.” New updates in the DSMV eating disorder diagnoses, as well as the multiple medical complications associated with eating disorders, was also discussed. In addition, the talk focused on medical and nutritional stabilization in an inpatient setting. “It was so exciting speaking to an audience of dieticians.     Remuda Ranch at The Meadows is proud to be a Platinum sponsor and partner of NEDA for 2012.  (openPR) - NEW YORK CITY — The Congress of the United States has approved the creation of the National Eating Disorders Awareness Caucus, as announced today by the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA), which since 2011 has determined that it is vital to build support from the ground up in our Congress in a strong bi-partisan manner.The mission of the newly formed caucus, chaired by Nan Hayworth (R-NY-19) and co-chaired by Nita Lowey (D-NY-18), is to increase national awareness about eating disorders and support those who suffer by seeking to enhance prevention, facilitate therapeutic advances and improve access to treatment.
