The Remuda Ranch Programs offers an eastern location in Milford, Virginia as one of several programs of which we have a legacy of success now after a history of 19 years dedicated to helping women recover from eating disorders in an environment that is Christ-centered and biblically-based in it’s delivery of scientifically valid approaches to recovery. We are a growing company that has in these most recent years added distinct programs as well for boys with eating disorders and now also an anxiety disorder program for women.
Position Summary
The Patient Care Transporter provides supportive and empathic care consistent with Remuda’s mission and vision statements while transporting patients and family members to activities related to their individual treatment plan. Recognizing that many appointments may result in a variety of emotions for RR patients. Patient behaviors, incidents, and conditions are to be reported to appropriate staff members as warranted. Duties also include transporting staff, visitors, product delivery, packages, and interoffice and US mail.
Shift: POOL (.3) varied on-call shift work either early in the morning or into the evening, possibly weekends

- Communication skills (verbal and written)
- Safety consciousness and confidentiality
- Customer service skills that convey a “welcoming and assuring” presence
- Flexible hours to accommodate airline arrivals and departures
- Computer skills and fluency
- Light facilities and office odd duties abilities
Education/Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must have a valid, current Virginia driver’s license.
- Drivers 25-70 years of age must have an acceptable driving record which would include no more than two minor violations within the prior 5 years. (Driving records will be verified annually to verify compliance.)
- Experience in driving in metropolitan area traffic.
- Obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, Behavior Management Training, and Driver’s Safety Training.
- Knowledge of Excel computer applications preferred.
