Even when employees have little or no patient contact, they still have a heart for those who come to Remuda for treatment. Remuda Programs for Eating Disorders has treated more than 7,000 women and girls. As the leading eating disorder treatment center in the nation, Remuda strives to attract the best, most-qualified candidates for all positions. But that’s just the beginning. Life in Arizona
Wickenburg, Arizona, is located 50 miles northwest of Phoenix. The town is quaint and serene. Small-town friendliness, a casual lifestyle and a calm desert environment is the norm. Conversely, metropolitan Phoenix, with a population of 2 million, is only one hour away and offers cultural amenities such as theater, the symphony, museums and more. In other words, people who live here get the best of both worlds: small town, big city.
For sports enthusiasts, Phoenix, the Valley of the Sun, boasts professional teams for all major sports including basketball, football, baseball and hockey. In addition, major league spring training provides a high level of baseball excitement every year. Due to the temperate climate, golf, tennis, cycling, boating, hiking and camping, are considered year-around activities; basically, any outdoor activity can be enjoyed without seasonal consideration. For serious shoppers as well as those who embrace fine dining, both are very available a mere 30-minute drive from Remuda.
Perhaps the most positive aspect of living in this area, especially for those with children, is the wide range of recreation and entertainment opportunities. San Diego, with miles of sandy, sun-drenched beach, is merely a six-hour drive. Add just one more hour and you’ve arrived in Los Angeles, home of Disneyland and several other spectacular theme parks. Or drive two hours North of Wickenburg during the winter months and you find yourself on the Arizona slopes enjoying downhill or cross-country skiing.

Life in Virginia
A calm environment is critical to the recovery of our patients. This is why Remuda East was established in Virginia, due to its similar rural setting. Located in Milford, Remuda East staff live and work in an environment surrounded by lush vegetation, horses, and even the occasional deer. The commute to work is not taken on congested interstates that resemble parking lots, but country roads flanked by huge trees and wildlife. Whether staff elect to live in nearby Sparta or Milford, one thing is guaranteed: neighbors will soon become friends. Perhaps the most stunning aspect of life in this geographic region is the deep sense of American history, particularly reflective of the Revolutionary War.
For recreation, this southern state offers excellent golfing, boating, fishing, and hunting. What’s more, miles of beaches fronting the Atlantic are only a couple of hours away, offering additional water-related activities, such as sport fishing. Washington, D.C, our nation’s capital, is also less than a two-hour drive. In addition to the government, this area boasts professional sports teams, including the Nationals, Redskins and Wizards. Quick, getaway day or weekend trips to the seashore or D.C. are always in the offing. Add just a few more hours to any road trip and you can easily visit Philadelphia or New York City.

Both campuses are located in areas that offer stunning beauty, incredible vistas and spectacular sunsets. The peace of the outside environment naturally pervades the work environment. Educational Assistance Program:
Remuda offers financial assistance for continuing education when it’s necessary for licensure, certification, or strategic development of the organization. These funds are available for full-time and part-time eligible employees after one year of employment.

The Lighthouse library offers books, videos and audio tapes for the personal, professional and spiritual growth of our staff. Our resources discuss everything from eating disorders and time management to prayer and building a Christian marriage.
