Anorexia Nervosa is not exclusive to any gender, age group, ethnicity, or social class. No one is immune. Up to 10% of those with an eating disorder will die from the disorder.

Each patient has an individualized treatment plan implemented by a team of professionals. These include a psychiatric and primary care provider, a registered dietician, a licensed master's or doctoral-level therapist, a psychologist, and registered nurses.

Bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder characterized by binge eating and purging, or consuming a large amount of food in a short amount of time followed by an attempt to rid oneself of the food consumed (purging), typically by vomiting, taking a laxative or diuretic, and/or excessive exercise, because of an extensive concern for body weight.

The cornerstone of all Remuda Ranch treatment is complete focus on the individual. That's why treatment duration is highly flexible and based on each patient's unique needs.

Binge eating disorder (BED) is the most common eating disorder in the United States affecting 3.5% of females and 2% of males and is prevalent in up to 30% of those seeking weight loss treatment.

Binge eating disorder is similar to, but distinct from, compulsive overeating.

A person with binge-eating disorder can become an expert at hiding behavior, making it hard for others to detect the problem.

Two-thirds of Americans are either overweight or obese.

No eating disorder is a lifestyle choice. Besides the serious, often life-threatening physical dangers, there is shame, loneliness, and depression.

But environments can change. Attitudes towards health and self-esteem can be altered.

Over one-half to two-thirds of people diagnosed with an eating disorder fall into the category of OSFED. More people are diagnosed with OSFED than Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia combined.

People diagnosed with OSFED can experience the same negative psychological, social, and physical consequences as a person diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa or Bulimia.
