Chris Diamond

Chris Diamond, Executive Director

For more than 20 years, Chris Diamond has dedicated his career to the behavioral health industry. He was named the Executive Director of Remuda Ranch in March 2013. Mr. Diamond’s educational background includes a B.A. in Psychology and Master’s coursework in Educational Psychology from Temple University in Philadelphia. He has served as CEO and COO since 2007 for four treatment programs located in Arizona, California, Texas, and Kentucky. Mr. Diamond most recently served as CEO for Sonora Behavioral Health Hospital, a comprehensive behavioral health facility located in Tucson serving adolescents and adults, and CEO of Heritage Oaks Hospital, the largest behavioral health provider in the greater Sacramento region. From 1991 through 2006, he held numerous clinical service and leadership positions.

Libby Neal

Libby Neal, MA, LPC, Director of Clinical Services

Libby Neal joined Remuda Ranch as Director of Clinical Services in April 2013. Libby is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive clinical training, project development and executive leadership skills. Her clinical specializations include eating disorders, addictions, trauma, brain mechanics, attachment disorders, and severe co-morbid pathology. Libby’s graduate training included Transpersonal Psychology with a specialization in Art Therapy. Her post-graduate training focused on Child and Adolescent Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and evidence- based practices, including EMDR, DBT, ACT and CBT. Libby has served most recently as Director of Treatment Services at the Carolina Children’s Home in Columbia, S.C. and as Executive Clinical Director of Education and Training and Director of Treatment Services at Rosewood Centers for Eating Disorders in Wickenburg, Ariz.

Young Lee, MD

Yong Lee, MD

Dr. Lee has been with Remuda since 2007. Lee started his career with Remuda at the Virginia facility working as the Director of Medical Services and later moved to the Arizona facility in the same role prior to becoming the Medical Director. He received a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD and his M.D. from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD. He completed a preliminary year in Internal Medicine at the George Washington University in Washington, DC and did his residency in Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Before working at Remuda, Lee had experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry settings as well as working as a psychiatric consultant in medical facilities. He is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology.

Laura Gates, LCSW, BCD

Laura Gates, LCSW, BCD

Laura Gates is the Director of Social Services for the Wickenburg Campus of Remuda Ranch. In this role, she supervises Social Services, Psychology, Activity Therapy and programmatic aspects including Chapel Services and Education. Gates earned a Bachelors of Social Work from Kutztown University, a Master's of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and both a Post-Graduate Family Therapy Training and a Teaching Fellowship from the Family Institute of Westchester.  She has 30 years of experience in direct care, management and administration as well as teaching in the area of social work. She has held teaching appointments at the Family Institute of Westchester, Albright College and has been a long time presenter at the Scarsdale Teacher Institute. Her clinical experience includes work with psychiatric disorders, chemical dependency, eating disorders and those with dual diagnoses. Additionally she is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor.

JoAnn Shapiro, LPC

JoAnna Shapiro, LPC

JoAnna Shapiro is the Program Director of the Remuda Life Programs in Chandler, AZ. JoAnna earned her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has been with Remuda Ranch for 14 years. In her role, she clinically supervises Social Services, Psychology and Activity Therapy as well all operational aspects of the Residential Treatment and Partial Hospitalization levels of care at the Chandler campus.

Andrea Harman, RN, Director of Nursing

Andrea Harman is the Interim Director of Nursing. Harman joined the company initially from 2001 -2009 and subsequently returned with a management role in 2011. Ms. Harmon has worked at both the Wickenburg acute campus and the Chandler RTC campuses of Remuda. In addition to her roles at Remuda, Harmon has held administrative roles at other behavioral health facilities. She has expertise in eating disorders, addiction and trauma. She earned an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences/Nursing and a BS in Healthcare Management both from Bellevue University. She received her RN from Passavant Memorial Hospital, Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
